Context: This meeting was held in Tokyo with influential Japanese policymakers on climate change.

The Japanese are interested and are actively seeking a constructive way forward to make their 2008 Hokkaido summit a sucess and agreed to co host an intimate meeting (15 interntional plus 15 Japanese, Chatham House Rule) on the topic of environment climate change, and energy.
